A “Gestalt” Vision. In 2015, this engineer by training and entrepreneur established his creation workshop in Paris. He also pursued training as a Gestalt therapist, which serves as a source of inspiration in his works. It’s worth noting that this therapeutic method, developed by Fritz Perls in the 1950s, considers the human being as a whole (their physical, mental, emotional, and social aspects). It’s the science of self-awareness for better living.

Franck Genser unleashes his creativity and imagination to craft his furniture. He takes perception into account. The artist combines functionality, art, and emotion. He even specifies that he is fascinated by the soul of objects and all dimensions of their influence on the individual.

His central theme is the constant interaction of human beings with their environment. For him, our furniture becomes familiar and transforms into “companionship furniture.”

Timeless and contemporary creations. His artworks are sculptures that capture light and catch the eye. They blend excellence and craftsmanship, noble materials (such as walnut, parchment, marble, Japanese lacquer), and technological feats. His “Power” collection embodies strength through the choice of materials used, curves, perspectives, touch, and volumes. A workshop-laboratory. In order to express his creativity, the designer acquired a large 200 m2 apartment on the first floor in 2021, with high ceilings and flooded with natural light. Located at 121 Boulevard Saint-Germain in Paris, the space serves as a showcase for his works and a living space. His teams are multidisciplinary and composed of engineers and artisans.

The premises are steeped in history. The previous owner was the psychoanalyst of the famous Yves Saint Laurent. The apartment serves as a private showroom. It has the particularity of having ceilings designed by the theater decorator of the 1960s, Jacques Camuratti. The colors (petrol, bronze, peacock blue, and ochre) enhanced the surroundings.

You can discover the “Power” collection there, featuring the Chumtak desk, the Shogun dining table, the Toutaime lamp, the Désolé console chair, the Tétralobite chair, the Cloud suspension, the Scrumble shelf, the Chance sofa, the Piscine coffee table, the Sous-Bois dining table, the Onishi coffee table, the Jelly chest of drawers, and the Vesuvius workstation table. The collection is also available for purchase on the designer’s e-shop (www.franckgenser.fr). Franck Genser is already the master creating the future of our time. The artist will continue to design new forms while placing the psychological utility of the object at the heart of his work.
